In order to achieve the strategic objectives of Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA), specifically the first goal, “Integrated Transportation”, RAKTA, in cooperation with FENIX, launched the e-bike rental service on the FENIX smart application to enhance an efficient and diversified transport system in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. Where it provided 40 bicycles, and 10 bicycle stops in the first pilot phase, distributed over (Al Marjan Island and Al Hamra) areas in the emirate.

H.E Eng. Esmaeel Hasan Al Blooshi – General Manager of RAKTA, expressed his pleasure to expand the scope of work with FENIX to provide a more sustainable and appropriate service and encourage the residents of the emirate to practice sports and cycling. In addition, the service will contribute to providing a variety of transportation options to achieve integration with other means of transportation and the first and last mile service in order to facilitate movement and quality of life within the emirate.

On New year’s eve, we witnessed more than 1500 rides only in Ras Al Khaimah, which is proof of customer adoption and appreciation of sustainable micro mobility. We are thrilled to have RAKTA as our partner in providing residents with integrated solutions that aid in sustainable travel.”

FENIX has close to 500 e-scooters along with the 40 e-bikes deployed in Ras Al Khaimah.

It is worth noting that RAKTA is in the process of developing the cycling strategy in Ras Al Khaimah

 to include an expansion plan and providing specific bike paths in different locations in the emirate in line with the vision of the Ras Al Khaimah government 2030 to be a tourist destination by providing added services to visitors.
