RAKTA achieved the first place at the level of government agencies participating in Sheikh Saqr Program for Government Excellence “Unique Achievement” category for the fourteenth session, in recognition of its efforts to implement a unique initiative at the state level, which is the introduction of two electric vehicles to the fleet of taxis in the emirate, this initiative comes to support the authority’s efforts to achieve the strategic goal of improving environmental sustainability in transportation by reducing greenhouse gas emissions, saving energy and reducing costs. This award aims to meet the government’s endeavors to improve the effectiveness, institutional efficiency, and government services it provides to customers and society.
