Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA) launched the first edition of the “Excellence in Transportation Award 2025” during a ceremony held at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah, attended by H.E. Eng. Esmaeel Hasan Al Blooshi, Director General of RAKTA, along with a number of officials from various government and private entities, as well as representatives from operating companies, drivers, and transport supervisors from different sectors.
The award witnessed the participation of more than 120 applicants representing 14 operators across various transport categories, reflecting the significance of the initiative and its role in promoting a spirit of positive competition and professional excellence within this vital sector.
The award aims to honor outstanding individuals and entities in Ras Al Khaimah’s transport sector and highlight drivers who have embodied the values of discipline, safety, and service quality, reflecting a positive image of the transport system in the Emirate. The initiative also seeks to enhance a culture of recognition and motivation, encouraging employees in the sector to continue their commitment and excellence.
The ceremony featured a video showcasing the achievements and contributions of drivers who have played a key role in improving quality of life and ensuring safe mobility across the Emirate. The honoring segment began with recognizing the award’s supporting partners for their valuable contribution to the success of the event, including:
Economic Group Holdings, Qatar Insurance Company, the American University of Ras Al Khaimah, and the Ras Al Khaimah Department of Knowledge.
Following that, winners of the Excellence in Transportation Award 2025 were honored across multiple categories, including public transport, hospitality transport, limousine, taxi, and school transport (drivers and supervisors), with more than 20 winners recognized from various operating companies.
RAKTA also honored the evaluation committee in appreciation of their efforts in reviewing nominations and assessing performance according to rigorous and transparent criteria.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, RAKTA reaffirmed its commitment to promoting a culture of excellence and quality within the Emirate’s transport ecosystem, and to supporting professionals in the sector through innovative initiatives that contribute to achieving sustainability and service quality goals — in line with the vision of the Government of Ras Al Khaimah for a more advanced and innovative future.
