On Monday, 19 May 2025, H.E. Eng. Esmaeel Hasan Al Blooshi, Director General of the Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA), welcomed an official delegation from the city of Guangzhou, China, led by Dr. Chen Jie, Executive Vice Mayor of Guangzhou and Director General of the Guangzhou Development District Administrative Committee.
The visit aimed to strengthen ties with Guangzhou and explore potential areas of cooperation in smart transport and sustainable technology—supporting mutual interests and enhancing public services.
The delegation was introduced to RAKTA’s strategic vision, including the Ras Al Khaimah Comprehensive Mobility Plan 2030 and RAKTA’s upcoming transport projects. The visitors also toured RAKTA’s Smart Control and Monitoring Center, where they were briefed on the advanced AI-based systems supporting the emirate’s transport operations.
The Guangzhou delegation also shared highlights of their innovative initiatives in urban mobility and smart city technologies. They expressed their admiration for RAK’s 2030 transport vision and the remarkable advancements being made in the transport sector.
The visit concluded with an exchange of commemorative gifts, symbolizing the spirit of friendship, mutual cooperation, and the shared commitment to continued knowledge exchange between both parties.
