In the presence of H.E Eng. Esmaeel Hasan Al Blooshi – the General Manager, RAKTA organized a workshop for transportation drivers in the Emirate at the Emirates Society for Social Development hall, on the smart systems used in transportation.
During the workshop, H.E the General Manager stressed the role of these systems, “smart meters and cameras”, in enhancing and providing the highest levels of security and safety in transportation in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, and improving the operational processes of the fleet, as they are linked to the smart control and monitoring center in which it is informed of the fleets of buses and taxis in real time and 24 hours a day, which enhances the smart city system.
H.E added that the aim of these smart systems is to enhance the security system in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah and transportation security, and to enhance government trends to shift to smart cities and raise the quality of life for the residents of the emirate. It also serves the first strategic objectives of RAKTA “people happiness”, the second “transport integration”, and the fifth “forecasting the future”. These systems also provide support and a comprehensive solution for the management of taxi and public transport fleets using the latest artificial intelligence technologies.
At the end of the workshop, H.E listened to the drivers’ suggestions and opinions and the challenges they face while performing their field work. He also directed those concerned in the Operations and Control Department to direct and continuously communicate with drivers to listen to their requirements and suggestions that contribute to improving the quality of services provided to customers.
