As part of the Ras Al Khaimah (RAKTA) Transport Master Plan 2030 and its ongoing efforts to expand public bus services, RAKTA has launched a new internal public transport route “Yellow Route” in cooperation with Marjan. The route extends from Al Jazirah Al Hamra, passing through Al Marjan Island, and continuing up to Jebel Jais, covering several key locations as well as major hotel and tourism destinations across the emirate.
The launch of the Yellow Route aims to strengthen the public transport network in the emirate and encourage the use of buses as a safe and comfortable mobility option, while providing passengers with a smooth and convenient travel experience at an affordable fare. The Yellow Route will operate from Friday to Sunday (weekends only), starting from 28 November 2025 until the end of April 2026, with a trip every three hours from 06:00 AM to 09:00 PM. The first trip will depart from Al Jazirah Al Hamra via Al Marjan Island at 06:00 AM, while the last trip will depart from Jebel Jais at 09:00 PM.
The route includes 14 main stops covering a range of key hotels and destinations in the emirate, such as Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort, Al Hamra Village, Waldorf Astoria, Rixos Bab AlBahr, DoubleTree by Hilton Resort and Spa, Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan Island, Rove Al Marjan Island, Hampton by Hilton, Pullman Resort Al Marjan Island, and Radisson Resort Ras Al Khaimah Marjan Island. Additional stops include ADNOC Jebel Jais, Bear Grylls Explorers Camp, SAIJ Mountain Lodge, Jais Viewing Deck Park, and the 1484 by Puro Restaurant.
RAKTA emphasized that all buses operating on the route are equipped with the latest technologies and Wi-Fi service to enhance service quality and safety. This includes a real-time bus tracking system connected to the Smart Control and Monitoring Center, trip tracking through the Sayr app, and electronic payment systems to facilitate customer experience.
